Designer Jasper Morrison and start-up company Punkt are betting on consumers still needing their landlines since they teamed up to create this deliciously simple cordless home phone that literally turns the old design upside down.
There is not much difference between this design and any other cordless phone design – but the small differences are what makes this phone so desirable. Rather than facing the cradle (or base) like most phones, the display on the DP01 phone is always visible. This makes it possible for the phone’s owner to see who is calling without even needing to pick the phone up.

O2 released its first 3.5G Pocket PC in HK on the last day of February. The new Xda Atom Life basically looks pretty much the same as its predecessor, the Xda Atom: a black body with simple and clean outline, a 2.4-inch QVGA display, a media player navigation panel along with the basic Pocket PC buttons, and a pair of shortcut bottons on the lower right side of the phone’s body. In addition, it has a 0.3-megapixel supplementary camera for video conferencing purpose. The Xda Atom Life weighs 145 g, which is only 5 g heavier than the Xda Atom.

The European Commission has introduced new legislation enforcing in effect a ceiling on mobile operator data roaming charges. The objective of this legislation is to force mobile operators to better inform subscribers regarding incurred mobile internet roaming charges, thus adding many degrees of transparency to what has up to know been an opaque box for most subscribers.
Mobile operator data roaming charges have been the subject of much debate since many subscribers indulge in mobile internet activities without a clear understanding of whether, and how they are charged. Frequently, a particular subscriber is faced with an unexpected and highly unpleasant surprise once she receives the resultant bill with the restrictively high charges.
